Good Kraken! is a gaming podcast network focused on highlighting underrepresented voices in the gaming space; with a super-casual, easy-going demeanour – and a collection of personalities whose chemistry flies off the screen, Good Kraken! is a positive force to be reckoned with.
Ernell & Devin at Good Kraken! Came to us looking for a fresh look for their community, something that felt professional enough to enable colossal growth, but also went HARD on their fun, laid-back approach to content creation. Our solution is an irresistible combination of 90s-inspired cartoon mascots and typography that feels like it popped right off a cereal box before school.
KEEP IT WEIRD
Keeping things quirky and playful was really important to the Good Kraken! Crew. We always start with hand-drawn letters and illustrations to authentically maintain that feel. This led to creating of the stacked 3D wordmark (cue that 90s’ Nickelodeon theme song) and the new mascot Karl the Kraken. As always, we put a massive effort into making things flexible. So we provided a slew of alternate layouts & colour combos to make sure the GK crew always had the perfect logo for every situation. Just as fun as a day at the beach!
