The International Fly Fishing Film Festival® consists of short and feature-length films produced by professional filmmakers from all corners of the globe, showcasing the passion, lifestyle and culture of fly fishing. The IF4 team came to me looking for a fresh new look for the festival to help expand their audience and keep the festival relevant for years to come! Together we created a new visual language for the festival that brings new life while also paying tribute to the festival’s rich past.
FINDING BALANCE
The new IF4 visual system focuses on giving equal priority to the event’s photography and branding. Instead of the branding simply sitting on top of a beautiful photo, the photography is revealed and presented through the branding, creating a dynamic and instantly recognizable look.
FLEXIBILITY
Since the festival is screened at 70+ locations worldwide, I thought it was important to be flexible across all platforms. So, the film reel concept from the poster also functions as a logo mark across the campaign.
BRAND IN HAND
The feeling of movement and action from the posters is carried throughout the rest of the creative, all the way to the tickets viewers pick up at their local fly shop or box office.
MAKE IT OFFICIAL
The festival brand continues to develop and expand through a system of crests and emblems used to award the winning submissions in the festival lineup.
