A few short months after opening Fire Hall Kitchen & Tap, the Fire Hall team came to me with an idea. A mobile Fire Hall experience they could bring to festivals, events, and local community gatherings. From these initial conversations, the Fire Hall Tap Trailer was born – a full-service gastropub on wheels. 30 craft beer taps ready to quench the thirst of any crowd within driving distance. Just as I did with the Fire Hall’s brick-and-mortar location, I worked with the team to create a vision for the Tap Trailer that would make it an experience to remember. This project was such a blast and continues to bring a smile to my face every time I see the trailer parked at a local event.
STANDOUT FROM THE PACK
From the very start of the project, we knew that we wanted the trailer to be eye-catching, whether it was stationary in a parking lot or barrelling down the highway to its next thirst-quenching destination. To do this, I took the initial styling that we had built with the Fire Hall’s branding identity and expanded it into a secondary identity for the Tap Trailer. Custom script logotype and signage layouts make the Tap Trailer feel like an extension of the Fire Hall experience, not an afterthought.
My partners and I took on a huge project that had no business working out. That we made it out of the gate is due to the support, creativity, and general wizardry of Zach Silver. Zach was there for anything and everything our project needed, including marketing and business advice outside the realm of his contract. While we hired Zach because of his impressive portfolio and passion for design, we were completely unprepared for him to become one of the most influential people to touch our project. If I was thinking of doing another project, Zach wouldn’t just be a call, he’d be my first call (then the bank to beg for money).!
